From Toluca state road number 1 (Toluca – Valle de Bravo) may be taken by Amanalco de Becerra, and from Mexico City by federal road number 15 (México – Morelia), by Infiernillo branch.

However, recommendation is to arrive from Toluca by Temascaltepec, the more used by tourists road because the 74 km travel is made in 50 minutes with private car, with speed average of 60 km/hr. Its worthy to choose this option because roads pavement is in good condition, has appropriate signaling and a beautiful panoramic view. From México city the estimated travel time to Valle de Bravo is 1 hour 43 minutes, plus 15 minutes to arrive by car at El Santuario or 7 minutes, to arrive by boat.
